Onibaba is an Oni that has the appearance of a shriveled old woman that feasts on humans. She has disheveled hair, a large mouth, carrying either a knife or sitting with a spool of thread. The woman originated from a cave in Adachigahara and died in Kurozuka. In fact there is a small museum in Adachigahara with her remains and the cooking pot and knife she used on her victims.

I pretty much liked all most of this account’s (this Xamag girl has great artworks I can’t stop looking at them!) posts and wanted to reblog one super favorite and I found it so difficult to decide, but since this is one of my more favorite pairings, I’m reblogging this.

My husband is near to completing his apprenticeship and this is the best tattoo he has done so far- as you can see, it’s magnificent! The Sandman resonates with me far more than any other work of fiction, and I will end up with an entire sleeve dedicated to Gaiman’s work. This is just the beginning, and I’m already in love with it!
